In the lesson, students look at the major skeletal groups and learn their names and locations. During the investigation, students discuss what they know about anatomy and will learn how bones help to support our bodies. They will also notice that bones are very strong and can carry heavy weights. While they might have questions about some of the materials the teacher is showing them, as always, it is important to encourage their questions throughout the lesson. At the end, the lesson concludes with a short review of the information learned throughout the lesson.
2.6 Students will identify the different parts of the human skeleton (Kindergarten). 2.7 Students will describe different types of skeletal injuries and how they impact one’s development (Kindergarten). 2.8 Students will discuss and name different types of skeletal injuries and how they impact one’s development (Kindergarten). 2.9 Students will describe the different types of skeletal injuries (Kindergarten).
The third page includes a picture to help students match each bone with the correct area on the skeleton. This page also includes a different bone for each section of the body. For example, the arm bone is in the forearm, the shin bone is in the leg, and the neck bone is in the neck. 7211a4ac4a
